How does your service support whānau?
Age Concern New Zealand is a charity dedicated to people over 65, their friends, and whānau. We promote dignity, wellbeing, equity and respect and provide expert information and support services in response to older people's needs. We are active and vocal on relevant issues and work to ensure older people stay connected with their family, friends and community.
What results have you seen in your work with whānau?
Everything we do at Age Concern New Zealand is to support older New Zealanders to live a great later life, to make the choices that best suit them and to have access to the services and help they need. We stand up for the rights of older people and against ageism and discrimination. Our core areas of work are: • Elder abuse and Neglect prevention • Social connection programmes • Health promotion • Visiting Service.
