How does your service support whānau?
Whānau Āwhina Plunket is a charity and Aotearoa New Zealand's largest support service for the health and wellbeing of tamariki under-five and their whānau.
Plunket offers free health and development checks, a range of local services, and a 24/7 parenting helpline. We are proud to offer the following virtual services free to whānau around Aotearoa, New Zealand:
VIRTUAL VISITS •video calls with lactation consultants to provide breastfeeding support •video calls with a nurse to provide help with sleep and settling your baby •playgroups •coffee groups •parenting education •Facebook live chats.
ONLINE SLEEP CONSULTATIONS - You can book free face-to-face online support sessions with nurses specially trained to help with sleep and settling your pēpi.
HELP WITH BREASTFEEDING - You can book a free online support session with our certified lactation consultants to get help with breastfeeding. We also offer breastfeeding 'cafes' every weekday - these are small group sessions with a lactation consultant and up to five participants, covering general breastfeeding Q&As.
