Multicultural Whangārei is a not-for-profit community based organisation supporting migrants and newcomers to Whangārei with their settlement process. It also promotes positive race relations through community education, ensuring people of all ethnicities feel able to actively contribute to their adopted community.
What results have you seen in your work with whānau?
We offer the following areas of service to help the community
EMPLOYMENT We aim to help migrants and newcomers find employment in the Whangārei district.
EDUCATION Multicultural Whangārei is pleased to be able to offer free classes and educational workshops.
EVENTS We plan a range of events and activities for our people, including five annual events.
ADVOCACY Multicultural Whangārei can support you with the following: · Lawyer Visits · Employment Issues · Court Appearances · Ministry of Social Development · Form Filling · Discrimination and Racism · NZ Police · Doctor Visits · Any other support you may require If we are unable to assist you, we will refer you to the relevant organisation or service provider that can help you.
